God of Adorable (working title)

with Juniper

"A moth will never know what a zebra finch hears in its song, a zebra finch will never feel the electric buzz of a black ghost knifefish, a knifefish will never see through the eyes of a mantis shrimp, a mantis shrimp will never smell the way a dog can, and a dog will never understand what it is to be a bat. We will never fully do any of these things either, but we are the only animal that can try."  - Ed Yong, An Immense World

Juniper (pictured right) and I (pictured left) are making an outdoor performance together about how creatures perceive, become friends and make decisions together.

We're in early days of this work. So far we've done a one-day live streamed residency at Omnibus Theatre as part of GET ON THE INTERNET festival curated by Paula Varjack and Chuck Blue Lowry. Our collaborators for this were Alan Fielden, Kei Franklin and Anahí Saravia Herrera with external prompts from: Amy McCauley, Luca Rutherford, Laura Goulden, Alicia Britt and Hector Dyer.

Currently, Juni and I are looking for residency and commission opportunities! Please get in touch if a lightbulb appears above your head!
